A new space for national legal debate

Translated from the original.

The blog is born driven by the encouragement of friends, collaborators, professors, and legal practitioners who felt the absence of a space where we could openly discuss certain legal topics linked, more specifically, to the field of Administrative Sanctioning Law.

This launch takes place precisely in the period in which my cooling-off period resulting from the post of Minister-head of the Office of the Attorney General of Brazil ends (a cooling-off period that ran between September 2016 and March 2017).

The first purpose of this space is to bring together my personal collection of legal works, doctrinal articles, interviews, and materials related to academic output over a career that already spans 27 years since graduating from the Law School of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul.

The team behind this Blog has sought to organize all this material in the best possible way and will surely work to ensure that, with the contributions of the Blog's users, the material becomes even better organized throughout the process of improving this space, which will be permanent and continuous.

I believe it is important to give transparency to the legal, and even political, thinking of someone with my personal and professional trajectory, by making available my interviews, public statements, articles, works, theses, and books.

I hope to also inspire a new generation of enthusiasts, notably in the field of Administrative Sanctioning Law, an authentic branch of Public Law that covers several areas of knowledge.

For the Blog's success, we are open to contributions from guests and young talents. I will seek to stimulate research in this area so lacking in theoretical and doctrinal development, namely Administrative Sanctioning Law and its interfaces with economic Criminal Law.
